A Special Note about this document.  (NOTE: Ignore the dates in the lists! The information is old!)

12/16/2003

When I myself wanted a list of light displays, I thought that others might appreciate one too!

So, in 1998, I started one!

Below you will also find links to neighborhood displays, to Seattle Times articles, and to other articles that list light displays and their locations, including previous years' lists.  Most article links are broken, I know.  (The Seattle Times changed link locations TWICE on me already.  Now they also require a person to be registered, but it's free.)  Some broken sections are marked as such.

Fun and encouragement.

Getting out and seeing the lights can be fun! They can also be a reminder and an encouragement, for YHWH is Light!

Some displays are at people's houses, while others are commercial light displays.

Some links are articles about something other than lists of light displays, but may be somewhat related to (holiday) fun and/or edification.

This may (or may not) be my last update before the holidays.

Let holiday lights be a reminder and an encouragement, for YHWH is Light! Have a great holiday and New Years!

HalleluYah! EnJoy!

In Messiah, Stephen DeVore of Seattle, WA.
    HalleluYah!  Hallelu-Yah!  Praise Yah!
(YHWH is pronounced by some as YaHWeH.  I often say YaHWaH!)

That was fun. Wasn't it?

Misc. information:

1999: Lots of light displays were up this year!  I don't remember a year when I saw so many lights.  Icicle lights became popular in 1998, and this year there were way more of these than before. 1998 marked the first year of the drive-through display at Marymoor park.  They were there that year too.  At various places there were $2-off coupons; locations are listed elsewhere herein.

Previous years were updated 12/23/1999. Seattle Times' article links last SEARCHED-FOR 12/23/1999.
This document last updated for some other reason(s) 12/16/1999.
